In 1939, with the financial support of the State President Kārlis Ulmanis, the Ainaž Volunteer Firefighters Association purchased the heavy fire truck "Ford-Vairogs" made in Latvia. Until 1943, the car served the needs of the association.
During World War II, when the front line approached Latvia, a decision was made to evacuate the car in the direction of Leningrad. The future fate of the car is unknown, most likely, the vehicle was lost as a result of hostilities.
